Embed Tour on Website

How To Embed a Google Indoor Street View tour on your Website

Here is an example of how you can embed your Google Indoor Street View tour on your website. It’s easy. Just follow these steps.

1. In a separate browser window, go to Google Maps and locate the virtual tour that you want to embed. In the tour, navigate to the starting position you want it to have, then Click on the ‘link’ icon near the top left, then click on the “Customize and preview embedded map” link.

2. When the new window pops up, click the “Custom” radio button and set the custom width and height at the specific size you want it to display at on your site. A nice large size is around a width of 800 and a height of 550. Copy the code. (Note: To select all the code, it is best NOT to drag your mouse to select, but instead to either tripple click, or click once and then hit Ctrl+C (PC) or Cmd+C (Mac) to copy the code to your clip board).
-NOTE: If the size values of your website change based on your viewer’s screen resolution (meaning % and not an absolute pixel value), once you paste the code, you may change the width to a percentage. Simply paste the code, then change the width from 800 to something like 100% or 75%.

5. Paste the code from your Google Indoor Street View tour into your website, wherever you want it to appear. If you don’t have room for it on an existing page, a great way to show it off is to create an entirely new page just for your tour (like the example below), which could be something like: “www.YourWebSite.com/IndoorStreetViewTour” or simply: “www.YourWebSite.com/Tour”.  That way you can easily link to it, send customers there, etc.

6. All done!  Test out your new tour and tell all of your Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus fans to Come Inside and take a look around!

TIP: You can even move the tour to another position and embed the tour a second time, starting at a different point, or highlighting a specific area of your business!
